Our General Return Policy
(revised 12/14/05)
1). Certain gift items will be shipped from our suppliers' warehouses directly to you. We refer to these items as "from vendor" items. When you shop and when you order, these items will have within their description a note such as "This item ships from vendor--please allow 10 business days for delivery" Depending on the item,
the size/weight/ and the school, if you wish to return one of these "from vendor" items, we may instruct you to ship it to that vendor from which it
was shipped from, or we may ask you to ship it to our warehouse.
Therefore, you should email us and ask which way to proceed. Either way, returns of "from vendor" items may result in a restocking charged to us by the vendor--which we will have to pass on to you. (Keep in mind, that in this regard, we are only referring to new items which are not defective. If you ever receive a damaged item or receive the wrong school or style, due to an error by BackOnCampus.Com or the supplier, we will satisfy you at no extra cost to you. )
2). For all apparel and any and all items shipped to you from our warehouse, the item may be returned to us within the specified time limit and must be unworn, unused, and in original condition-- with original packaging, brand tags etc., and never been washed. While we do not interrogate you as to why you are returning the item, we are strict on these quality guidelines, as we must be able to re-sell your item to another shopper. (Wouldn't you hate
buying a sweatshirt from us and as you pull it over your head you could smell cigarette smoke or body odor? Exactly our point!) We reserve the right to deduct a cleaning fee from your credited amount to cover this.
3). All returns/exchanges must be completed within 30 days of purchase. The exception is the Christmas Exchange Window which closes on the 25th of January each year.

EXCHANGES:
All exchanges are treated as a refund and a new purchase.
Even if you are exchanging an item, you should first place a new order for what you need and then return the original item for a refund. Please do not request within the return carton an item you wish to swap for. By the
time we receive the item back from you, the item you desire may no longer be available and then we will have to contact you, etc. etc. This is why we treat all returns as a refund. This allows you to get a full refund for the price paid even if the new price is lower. It also allows the new item you order to immediately go into Order
Processing and get on the road to you. Follow the return procedures on the Return Form at the bottom of your packing slip.
If on the original order--for the item you are returning--we shipped via FREE shipping, we will deduct $7 from the refunded amount to cover that.
REFUNDS:
If you only want a refund, just as with exchanges outlined above, follow the return procedures on the form that came in the carton. We will credit you for the purchase price. (only if we shipped your order via free shipping, will deduct $7 from the refunded amount to help us recover the initial free shipping we paid.)
